Beginner’s Guide to Stocking Your Bar Cart

When introducing a bar cart into your home, it’s important to start with the basics according to your taste. As a rule of thumb, you want to have at least three different bottles of liquor: 1.) something clear 2.) something brown 3.) something fun. From there, build out your alcohol stockpile with the essentials. Middle-shelf brands will get you off to a good start. Make sure you have one bottle of each:

  • Vodka
  • Gin
  • Whiskey
  • Tequila
  • Rum

Now for the mixing elixirs! The go-to’s that you should always have on hand include:

  • Soda Water
  • Fruit Juices
  • Tonic Water
  • Lemon and Lime Juice
